A herd of goats
Who is LambuVet for?
Livestock farmers, the veterinary staff who attend to their animals, and the organisation coordinating both. Farmers are registered by field officers or themselves; veterinary and field staff handle the clinical work; administrators see across every farm and ward.
Is it only for cattle?
No. Cattle, goats, sheep, poultry, swine, camels, rabbits and fish are all supported out of the box, seeded with the breeds actually kept in Nigeria — White Fulani, Sokoto Gudali, Red Sokoto, Balami, Noiler and the rest.
Do I have to record animals one by one?
Only where it makes sense. A dairy herd is tracked animal by animal; a poultry house is one flock with a head count. Both are first-class in the platform, and a farmer can keep some of each.
Do I need to be online all the time?
LambuVet runs in a browser, so you need a connection to record or read data. It is built to stay usable on a modest mobile connection — the fonts and assets are served from the platform itself rather than fetched from elsewhere.
How does the insurance work?
Cover is written over a flock and priced either per animal or as a share of what is insured. When a claim is filed, it is assessed against the flock’s own movement ledger for the days in question, alongside the waiting period, the excess and what cover remains. Whoever files a claim never rules on it.
What happens to my data?
It stays yours. Animal, farm and veterinary records entered by you or your staff remain your property. The platform accesses them only as far as is needed to run, maintain and support the service.
Can I get my records out again?
Yes. Every register — farmers, flocks, animals, cases, treatments, vaccinations, feed, stock, policies, claims, expenses and production — exports to CSV, Excel and PDF, filtered the same way you filtered it on screen.
How do I register?
Farm owners can register themselves — it takes a minute, and creates your account and your first farm together. Veterinary, field and administrative accounts are issued by Lambutech.
What does it cost?
Get in touch and we will talk it through against what you keep and how many farms you run.
